At Molly Ryan Floral, we specialize in wedding and event decor for everything from large scale soirees to intimate dinner parties. Our favorite designs showcase the movement and textures found in nature, and we pride ourselves on using premium, unusual and show-stopping blooms from a wide array of local growers and wholesalers.
Before moving to Chico and launching Molly Ryan Floral, Molly spent ten years training under some of the best florists in the industry, allowing her the opportunity to master a number of floral styles, as well as the chance to create unique floral designs for hundreds of weddings and events. Molly’s work has appeared at the United States Supreme Court, The State Department, The Carnegie Melon Auditorium, The Kennedy Center, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Institute of Peace, the Italian Ambassador’s residence, the Google Campus Silicon Valley, many foreign embassies, and five-star hotels and resorts across the nation.
What is your mission + vision statement?
Flowers breathe ambiance, emotion, and life into the space they fill, for just long enough to affect those immediately present for it. No other design element can infuse an event with as much beauty or sentiment. Flowers transform a memory into a sensory experience, leaving you forever impacted by the delicate colors, scents, and fleeting splendor of botanical materials carefully chosen for you.
Only the highest quality flowers available are used in Molly Ryan Floral designs, taking years of knowledge to select in- season, environmentally sound, and primarily local product whenever possible. We pride ourselves on using fresh, premium, unusual, lush, and showy blooms.
What do you love most about your job?
The moment when all the crazy hard work comes together– when the flowers are on the table, the bride is in awe of her bouquet, when we stand back to look at a dream-like arch we created entirely out of botanical materials– there truly is nothing better than seeing all the joy that flowers bring our clients in the most important times of their lives.
What do you like to do for leisure?
I love to explore nature, travel when I can, and hang out with my adorable baby boy and sweet hubby. But really, my leisure and work life run together. I am always growing and playing with flowers and creating messes whether commissioned by a client or for my own satisfaction.
What songs do you listen to or what things do you do to get your creative juices flowing?
It all depends, but late at night when I’m running against the clock and getting stressed out, I tend to to crave some Jerry Garcia.
What was your favorite part of the creative process + photoshoot?
I love seeing so many creatives truly collaborate, working together to create a whole much larger than the sum of its parts.
