Meet Erica Henderson
A collector & vintage lover all her life. She loves to bring things back to life; whether it’s an old house, a funky dresser or scraps of fabric. She has an eye for finding gems & seeing beauty in the neglected, discarded & unearthed.
Born & raised in the small coastal community of Muir Beach, California; she grew up surrounded by simplicity & natural elements. The daughter of artists; her father’s a mason & mother a quilter who continue to inspire her.
Recently graduating with an MBA in Sustainable Business she launched Tin Roof Farmhouse as the final thesis which has now flourished into her fulltime gig. She’s thrilled to bring all of her marketing, merchandising & catering experience to her clients. With an eclectic, quirky design sense she looks forward to working with you to help you create your unique vision.
Tell us about your business
Tin Roof Farmhouse specializes in eclectic vintage chic design; from vintage luxe to woodland bohemian & everything in between. We love reclaimed, natural & unexpected pieces. All of our vintage rentals have been previously loved with lots of patina & stories to tell. What’s yours?
We offer an ever-growing collection of unique decor available for rent for weddings, bridal & baby showers, birthday celebrations, dinner parties, photo shoots & more. Each item in our collection of furniture, props & accessories has been lovingly collected over the years. Yes, we seem to be especially attracted to anything with chippy green paint & rusty metal. What can we say?…it’s one of our weaknesses.
We also offer handcrafted items, such as bunting, garlands, table numbers & more. As well as natural elements collected & enhanced by Tin Roof Farmhouse.
Contact us for a free consultation. We look forward to hearing your personal story & bringing it to life for you to share with your friends & family. Whether it’s for your wedding day, a photo shoot or a special event…we’re here for you!
What is your mission + vision statement?
To create magic while telling stories. To build beautiful memories for our clients from our well-loved inventory. To continue to grow our inventory & connections with other creatives.
What do you love most about your job?
Being creative. And the connections I’ve made.
What do you like to do for leisure?
Leisure?? Hikes with my hubby & dog. Junking throughout Northern California. Remodeling our “farmhouse”. Creating. Always creating.
What songs do you listen to or what things do you do to get your creative juices flowing?
I love all kinds of music ~ bluegrass & country have been constants lately. Nature also always inspires. I’m constantly collecting ~ vintage pieces, discarded wood from my husband’s job sites, fabric scraps, natural elements ~ these are always inspiring.
What was your favorite part of the creative process + photoshoot ?
I wish I was able to be more involved in this shoot, so I have to say the photos will be my favorite part. Also, the connections I’ve made (even if most have been via social media) are priceless. I hope to work with all of you more in 2016.
